I bought the mist because it was on promotion and the one I was using had just run out. It settled on my desk at work, where I work at a computer and, in addition, the room is air-conditioned. How does niacinamide (vitamin PP) work in Vitamin Boost serum?
Niacinamide is an active form of vitamin B3 with documented effects. It strengthens the skin barrier, regulates sebum production, and reduces the visibility of pores and discolouration. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory, helping acne-prone and redness-prone skin.
Which form of vitamin C is in Vitamin Boost?
It contains Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) - a stable vitamin C derivative that converts into active ascorbic acid upon contact with skin. SAP is milder than pure vitamin C, well tolerated by sensitive skin, while still effectively brightening and acting as an antioxidant.
How to use Vitamin Boost?
Apply a few drops to cleansed, dry facial skin, neck and décolleté 1-2 times a day (morning and/or evening). Let the serum absorb for 1-2 minutes, then follow with a moisturiser. When used in the morning, always pair with an SPF sunscreen.
What skin type is Vitamin Boost for?
The serum is universal - it works for normal, combination, oily and mature skin. Niacinamide regulates oily and acne-prone complexions, while vitamins C and E counteract ageing. Thanks to its mild vitamin forms, it also suits sensitive skin.
Can Vitamin Boost be combined with retinol or acids?
Vitamin Boost pairs well with most skincare actives. Niacinamide can be safely combined with retinol (an excellent anti-ageing combo), as well as hyaluronic acid and peptides. When combining with AHA/BHA acids or retinol, apply them at different times of day (e.g. serum in the morning, retinol in the evening).
